Couleurs
by le Nez Insurgé
Couleurs by Le Nez insurgé is a perfume line that aims to represent a color by a scent.
The inspiration for this concept is found in the works of 19th century chemist Eugene Chevreul on the perception of colors.
His research was particularly useful to the artists and craftsmen of his time including those of the Art and Craft movement fonded by William Morris and John Ruskin.
This movement that brings craftsmanship back to the heart of the Arts is echoed in Perfumery, creative sphere that is not considered a work of the mind as of today.
Le Nez Insurgé propose a perfume line questioning the perception of colors through smells and is part of a neo-Art & Craft that carries these common values of tradition and authenticity.
